Back in the Midwest

Seems I've been out of the world a spell. Some interesting things have happened: O'Connor announced retirement, London got attacked, my mom got in a freak "Christine"-like car accident, I discovered an old high school acquaintance "pens" a successful webcomic I've read on occasion, Harry Potter was a hit (I read it in the days after it hit shelves), and summer blockbusters have been popping up and reeling the viewers in.

I'm still getting used to being back home, which means I haven't got much to say right now, but I'll be back with more rants, raves, and reviews in the coming days and weeks and months.

In the meantime, I hope you're all tuning into Firefly's reairing on Sci-Fi. This Friday Sci-Fi plans on premiering a new trailer for Serenity during the last quarter hour of Firefly. You can bet I'll be tuned in.
